A mother with a task list and a set amount of time is a force with which to be reckoned! And no one knows how to manage projects and time better than a team of five mothers with fifteen children between them.

Talk about a force! 

In recent months, the faces of Blue Pencil Home have changed and grown and with this, our enthusiasm about the new changes has grown, as well. Katie and I are thrilled to introduce you to these women today.

We can all agree that flexibility, a sense of humor, and a desire to work efficiently make organization and decluttering much more effective. Fortunately, our three new organizers, Turner, Karen, and Ashley, have these characteristics in spades!

Why Did Blue Pencil Home Start?

It was funny then and even funnier now, but I knew I was onto something when my husband said a few years back, “Can we take a break from reorganizing our house?”

Do you ever do something so often that you don’t realize it’s become a part of your routine?

This is exactly what happened to me. It’s also what motivated me to consider reorganizing spaces outside my own home.

Coffee or tea?

Mountains or sea?

Heels or flats?

Which would you choose? Do you ever wonder what your favorite things might say about you?

While we’ve have been busy in these frigid Memphis temperatures overhauling garages and organizing with a client’s pet pig underfoot (truth!), we wanted to take a break from all the busyness to share what non-organization favorites keep us energized behind the scenes. Taking a page from the classic Southern Living’s “Quick Picks,” here are a few of our timeless choices that don’t necessarily have to do with space-saving and simplifying. Stay tuned though, because those are just around the corner!
